*Maker's Mark: The "Tiffany & Co" and "Union Square" marks together indicate this specific piece was manufactured during Tiffany's time at their Union Square headquarters (1870-1905).
*Design Style: The Elephant motif is characteristic of the Aesthetic Movement (1860-1900) where their designers incorporated "exotic" Eastern and Indian themes.
*Pattern Number: (1098) According to Tiffany's numbering system, pattern #1098 is a very early design from the early 1850s.
